On the footsteps of the Principals, UKL started its first strategic business unitFLUID CONTROL DIVISIONin Ahmednagar in the year 1983 for manufacturing of Piston Valves, Level Gauges, and Steam Traps.
Subsequently, in 1999 UKL started second strategic business unitFLUID SEALING DIVISIONon the outskirts of Pune, dedicated to produce Asbestos, Non-Asbestos Gasket sheeting, followed by Spiral Wound ,Industrial Cut Gaskets etc., factually everything in Gaskets.
The Fluid Control Division went on to add Bellow Sealed Valves to comply with stringent fugitive emission, environment protection laws, NACE certification and Nuclear requirements.
Global emphasis on energy conservation inspired Uni Klinger to augment the complete range of Traps, Manifolds, Trap Valve Stations, Condensate Recovery System and other Steam Engineering Products & pipeline accessories.
Services were added to Conserve Energy by engaging the customers in Steam Audits, Consultancy, and Awareness Training Programs etc.

Piston valves, Steam used for secondary heating like Coils, vessels, heat exchangers etc, generate a lot of condensate post heat transfer. This large quantity of condensate can handle by Ball Float Trap. This condensate has a substantial heat component with cost tagged to it. Also this is treated and pure water and can be used as Feed water for the Boiler, saving the cost of heating, Water Bill and Treatment chemicals. Therefore it makes sense to recycle / reuse this condensate. This function is also done by the Ball Float Trap.
Operating Animation
UKL Ball Float Trap discharge condensate near to steam saturation temperature, which works on the principle of Buoyancy, [densities difference of Water and Steam].The rising condensate level elevates the Float open the valve and discharges the condensate, and reverse, when the level of condensate drops, valve close the trap.
The working principle of this trap can also be used as Auto Air Moisture Drain, as Air Eliminator in liquid line, as well as for lifting condensate, as a pump.

The Thermodynamic Trap works on the principle of difference in the velocities of Steam and Condensate. Used Mainly on Drip lines of the main steam distribution line, uses condensate pressure to open the trap and discharge the condensate and then the Flash steam formed due to the high flash steam velocity & accumulation of flash steam over disc, Device close and trap the live steam when it appears.
Thermodynamic Steam Trap are compact and lightweight and discharge condensate as and when it is formed.

UKL High Pressure Gate and Globe Valves are manufactured to the latest International designs, using latest, State of the Art technology and a strict quality control system. These valves are exceptionally Sturdy, Rugged and Durable. They are designed for a tight Seal, ease of operation with inbuilt Quality and Integrity for a long service life
UKL High Pressure Valves are manufactured in Gate as well as Globe valve types.
Gate valves – probably the most common valves in use today, esp.where an uninterrupted flow is required, because the gate fully retracts into the bonnet, creating a minimal pressure drop, when the valve is in an open position. Gate valves are specifically intended for use in isolation applications.
Globe valves -the main advantage is that a globe valve opens more rapidly than a gate valve as the disc only needs to move a small distance from its seat to allow full flow. This is an advantage when there is frequent operation of the valve. The disadvantage is that the fluid has to change course, increasing the resistance to flow and generating turbulence. This results in a higher pressure drop across a globe valve than a gate valve. Globe valves are designed to close off, open up or throttle the flow in a pipeline.
The Pressure Seal Bonnet:
Another very effective type of Bonnet construction, apart from the standard Bolted Bonnet type in a gate/Globe valve is the Pressure Seal Bonnet. This construction is adopted for valves for high to very high pressure service. The unique feature about the pressure seal bonnet is that the Body – Bonnet joints seal improves as the internal pressure in the valve increases, compared to other constructions where the increase in internal pressure tends to create leaks in the body-bonnet joint.

The most common application is flow indication. The Sight Glass is fitted in the pipeline to indicate if the fluid is flowing correctly in the line. These can therefore be used to indicate blocked or choked valves or Traps, strainers, pipelines or piping components which otherwise would lead to a decreased level of performance, plant efficiency and safety.
The sight glasses would indicate if the traps are leaking or passing live steam/vapors.A sight Flow Indicator is a device which is inserted in a run of pipe to observe the flow of fluid in the pipe. To enhance the visibility of the flow, protrusion is often incorporated body of its indicator, in the flow stream, so that fluid impinging on the same, cause turbulence, which indicates flow.
This enables one to on observing the working of traps and other equipments by giving a clear view of the inside using toughened Borosilicate original Klinger sight glasses.

These are mechanical devices to observe the level of liquid in vessels. Based on principles of Liquid finding their own levels.UKL manufactures and supplies level gauges as complete assembly with Isolation Drain cocks and vent valves, Safety Ball check arrangement in case of Glass breakage, and original toughened Borosilicate Klinger Glasses and Gaskets.
Reflex Gauge:
Works on the principle of Total Internal Refraction of light through the Reflex glass having grooves giving clear Black and white indication of the level in the vessel. For Steam at 40 bar saturated temp, and other media 40 bar 400 Deg C.
Transparent type:
Using Transparent glasses, two in numbers, giving a level indication in the form of rising and falling meniscus. This often requires the use of Illuminators to view the level.Steam at 40 bar.85bar and 120Bar saturated temp. Other media 400 deg C.
Bicolor type:
A variation of the transparent type, wherein the incident light is made to pass through a wedge shaped centerpiece, to separate the light. The same is viewed through filters to see Green and Red light for Steam and Condensate.Steam: 180 Bar Saturated Temp.
The level gauges can be provided with accessories like double arm lever, Illuminators, Scales, and Non Frosting Blocks. Inclined type as well as Direct Weld – On type.
